The Heart and Vascular Institute at St. Mary’s in Grand Junction is a regional referral center serving the western half of Colorado and eastern Utah. As the only major hospital between Denver and Salt Lake City, St. Mary’s plays a vital role in keeping more than a hundred small and medium-sized communities safe and cared for with tertiary and quaternary hospital services. In fact, St. Mary’s is the only hospital in the region to offer several advanced heart and vascular procedures including a comprehensive structural heart program that performs TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman.

When looking at the U.S. News and World Report rankings1 for the Heart and Vascular Institute at St. Mary’s, the hospital is among 531 hospitals that were scored for cardiology and heart surgery that met all U.S. News criteria for services and quality. Beyond scoring, St. Mary’s was also ranked 7th in Colorado and is among the best hospital in the country for heart attack care.
